Document Checklist

1. Original Passport

  • Current passport and any old passports containing U.S. visas or entry/exit stamps from the last 10 years.

2. DS-160 Form

  • Complete the DS-160 form online and submit it.
  • Print and carry the confirmation page (mandatory).

3. Entry and Exit Stamps

  • Ensure all entry and exit stamps, as well as visas, are clearly visible in the passport.

4. Photograph Requirements

  • Size: 2×2 inches.
  • Background: White.
  • No glasses.
  • 80% of the face must be visible (required for Dropbox applicants).

5. Proof of Investment

  • Provide evidence of rental income, interest income, or other income sources for financial verification.

6. Income Tax Returns

  • Last 3 years’ personal income tax returns are required.

7. Additional Requirements Based on Applicant Type

 

For Self-Employed Applicants:

  • Business Documents: Proof of company registration, GST details, partnership deed, or proprietorship proof.
  • Tax Returns: Last 3 years of business-related ITRs.
  • Bank Statements: Personal and/or business account statements for the past 6 months.

For Employed Applicants:

  • Employer NOC: Letter confirming leave and approval of the trip.
  • Payslips: Last 3 months’ payslips.
  • Bank Statements: Salary and savings account statements for the last 6 months.

For Minors (Under 18):

  • Birth Certificate: Proof of identity.
  • Student ID Proof: If applicable, to confirm enrollment.
  • Parent’s Passport and Other IDs: Both parents' ID proofs required if traveling alone or with one parent.

If the Trip is Sponsored:

  • Sponsor Documents: Bank statements showing sufficient funds ($50–150/day).
  • Cover Letter: Explaining support and trip details.

If Invited by Friend or Family:

  • Invitation Letter: Should include travel/accommodation details, the inviter’s immigration status, and a support statement.

If Invited by a U.S. Company:

  • Invitation Letter: On company letterhead, specifying visit purpose, duration, and expenses covered. Signed by an authorized representative.

Company Cover Letter (If Applicable):

  • A business cover letter detailing the applicant’s designation, visit purpose, and trip duration. It should confirm company support and be signed/stamped by an authorized person.

 

Additional Notes

  • Language:

    • All documents must be in English or accompanied by a certified translation.
  • Consistency:

    • Ensure that all information across documents (passport, invitation letters, financial records) is consistent to avoid processing delays.
